The hill covered with wildflowers in Thailand

by Victoria

The road crossing Mae U Ko Hill (Mae Hong Son, Thailand) is dyed yellow by wild wildflowers. Every November to December, this place attracts thousands of tourists to take pictures and watch flowers. The famous wild flower hill of the golden pagoda is hunted by tourists in the remote Mae Hong Son province of northern Thailand. Every November-December, the Mae U Ko hill section is covered with gold by wild wildflowers in bloom.

Mae Hong Son’s characteristics are the overlapping hills. On the way to see the flowers on Mae U Ko Hill, visitors will experience the winding passes with many dangerous sleeve bends.

Although the flower hill is located on the side of a steep, steep road, many visitors still do not hesitate to stop to take pictures with the bright yellow flowers. To get to Mae Hong Son, visitors can take a bus or fly from Chiang Mai.

The wildflowers in Thailand are also known as Bung Tong or the Mexican sunflower. Flowers blooming create a golden carpet covering the hill, giving visitors a beautiful background for photos.

In the blooming season, many convoys follow each other on the pass to admire the scenery. Adventurous tourists stand in the middle of the road to take pictures. The two best times to watch the flowers during the day are early in the morning and at dusk. You will be able to see the golden flower hill, covered with gentle and clear sunlight in the early morning. When sunset falls, the whole hill of yellow flowers is immersed in purple rose color, creating a magical scene.

To fully enjoy the beauty of wildflowers, visitors should stop at Thung Bua Tong field on Mae U Ko hill. This is where wild anemones are grown and blooming most brilliantly. The field is located close to the big road, convenient for visitors to stop by.

Besides watching the wildflower hill, visitors to Mae Hong Son can experience many other destinations in the mountainous land of Bac Thai. Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu on a windswept hill, Ban Rak Thai village in the mist … are destinations you cannot miss if you have the opportunity to visit Mae Hong Son.
