Son Doong cave is located in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, Bo Trach District, Quang Binh Province, Vietnam. This cave is available if you follow a guided tour.
Son Doong cave (Quang Binh) – the largest cave in the world surprised the international science and media when it was discovered in 2009. Up to now, Son Doong cave still has many mysteries but gradually revealed more images as well as organized exploration activities (controlled) so that more people could admire this wonder.
Previously, in August 2019, Son Doong cave was ranked in the top 5 of the world’s most attractive discovery tour charts by TV channel Dave (UK), surpassing both the rankings of Mount Everest and Antarctica. At the end of 2019, the photo taken at Son Doong by the American photographer Jason Speth is in the top 6 most spectacular photos in the world in 2019 according to National Geographic science magazine.
Underground river and the Vietnam wall
Son Doong owns a large underground river in the cave, along with several small waterfalls. When sailing along the underground river in the cave, you will admire the giant stalactite wall about 90m high, known as the Vietnam Wall. With safety devices and belts under the enthusiastic support of cave experts, the explorers will conquer this wall and feel proud of it forever.

Son Doong cave is considered one of the most unique caves in the world, its size is so large that it possesses a separate weather condition. We can easily see clouds floating inside the cave every day. According to diving experts, the limestone cave system in Phong Nha – Ke Bang is divided into 3 floors, dry cave, water cave with flow and underground cave system located at a depth of over 93m. And until now, they still not explore the whole these systems yet.
